During the time of the Black Death, the Black Madonna was revered as the bringer of healing to the people and the end of suffering.
At this time we are living through a modern pandemic and again we need the Dark Mother to bring healing, relief and rebirth as the world rebalances around us.

I have painted the famous Venus of Willendorf (30,000 BCE) as the ancient Earth Mother as a heartfelt petition for healing our world.
Archaeology has demonstrated skin pigmentation changed for humans only very recently so the Venus figure is truly a Prehistoric Black Madonna.
The Lotus flower has been sacred to many civilisations and cultures. It is a symbol of rebirth, enlightenment, purity and the beauty of life.
